I only walk one client’s dog(s) at any one time.
So this would be individually (solo) if you only have one dog.
Or if you have more than one dog then only your dogs are walked together. No-one else’s.
I’ve found there are lots of reasons why people like having an individual dog walker; but primarily it’s because what they want for their dog they can’t get from a ‘traditional’ (group) dog walker.
If your dog is friendly then I will always encourage socialisation and interaction with other dogs whilst we are out walking, and it won’t be overwhelming or unruly; which I often find large groups are.
And if they need their space (perhaps they don’t like other dogs, or certain types of dog, or people) then I can navigate around those too so it’s a more enjoyable walk for them.
Walks can be on-lead, off-lead* or a mixture of both. Ideally, I’d like them to have some of the time to run freely, as this really allows them to stretch their legs and tire out, but I understand that is not always possible with every dog. Whatever works for you.
I have experience in walking both aggressive (dog to dog aggression & dog to people aggression) and timid dogs. Oh, and lots of nice ones too!
I walk from your home, around their familiar environment. This does not require your dogs to travel in a vehicle, meaning we are outside the entire time.
You’ll have peace of mind knowing that everything is in safe hands with me visiting your home and tending to your dog(s), as I’m honest and trustworthy, and have many happy clients who have been happy to testify so.
I will always come and visit you and your dog at your home, before agreeing to do any work for you. I call it ‘meet & greet’, technically it’s a pre-assessment. It allows us to discuss your requirements and ensure we are all happy before preceding any further.
*Off-lead requires the express consent of owners, and when I’m confident in the dogs’ nature.
