I will be using your information (personal data) in a way that you would reasonably expect for a professional pet service provider.
The data I collect are things like; client name, address, telephone number & e-mail address. Information regarding your pet; behaviours, dislikes, obedience etc.
The data is supplied to me directly from potential and existing clients (you).
I am the collector, recipient, processor and controller of the data. Guy Ravenscroft; owner and operator of ‘Waggy Tails of Cheltenham’.
The purpose of me collecting and processing this data is so that I have the necessary information so that I may do my job effectively (i.e. provide you and your pets with the service(s) you require).
I have no interest in collecting excessive or unnecessary information about you, and you may refuse to provide any or all of the data I request – however that may have an adverse impact on the (quality of) service you receive. For example, if you deny my request for a mobile telephone number I won’t be able to send you a pet update SMS message after each visit.
Your data will be used for communicating with you, making bookings, planning my diary, pet updates & processing payments.
Your data may be shared with another pet service provider;
- in the unlikely event I am unable to personally attend a booking (e.g. due to illness) so that they may provide the service you require in my absence.
- if you ask me to put you in touch with a different service provider. For example, ‘do I know anyone who will take my dog for home boarding?’.
There should be no detrimental effect to you in my having your personal data. The effect should only be positive and in your favour (i.e. I am able to work for you).
I take due care in protecting your data and am mindful in protecting your privacy on social media.
The intended use of the data are all functions of a professional pet services provider. There should be no cause to object or complain, however any objection or complaint will be heard and responded to. It is not in my interest for you to be unhappy.
- If you are concerned about how I am handling your data, you have the right to complain directly to the ICO; who are the UK’s independent body set up to uphold information rights.
I process your data under the lawful basis of processing of Article 6(a) of the General Data Protection Regulations; in that: the individual (you) has given clear consent for me to process their personal data for a specific purpose (as already described).
You have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data. I provide privacy information at the time I collect personal data from you, and in a way that is easy to access, read and understand.
